The Biggest Secret of Successful Weight Loss

When it comes to weight loss, the biggest hurdle that people face is that of getting started. They just don’t have any idea of where to start from! If you are one of these people then this article is for you! It doesn’t really matter whether you want to lose ten or hundred pounds, the tips I am going to share with you in this article are going to help you anyway!

The first step to successful weight loss is to set some goals. Goals should be used in the same way as milestones are used on highways. Just as without any milestone, you will have no idea of where you are going, without a goal, you will have no idea of how much work you need to do to shed all the extra pounds!

First you should ask yourself some questions:

1. How much weight you want to lose?

2. By when you expect to lose all the weight?

Then write answers to these questions on a sheet of paper. Oh yeah, before I forget, let me tell you that writing your goals is one of the surefire ways of making sure that you never forget them! Write your weight loss goals on a piece of paper, make copies of that paper, and stick each paper on every place you can.

Make sure you don’t forget to stick this paper on your refrigerator and kitchen, since it is in these places that the demon called temptation tries to ruin your weight loss efforts!

Setting goals is just not enough; in order to make the goals achievable, you must set REALISTIC goals. If you have a goal of losing sixty pounds within a couple of weeks or a month, that is not going to happen. Setting such unrealistic goals for yourself will nullify the very effect of goal setting.

When you set unrealistic goals and fail to achieve the same, you will be disappointed and frustrated with yourself and your weight loss efforts.

Weight-loss surgery bodes well for pregnancy

New York - Researchers have found that weight-loss surgery bodes well for pregnancy. They found that women who had weight loss surgery before becoming pregnant are less likely to have problems in their pregnancy than women who were obese and did not have any type of weight loss surgery. Usually pregnant women who are overweight have gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. The number of bariatric surgeries being done every year from 1998 to 2005 has increased by eight hundred percent. This is a shocking statistic. It shows that many people prefer to have weight loss surgery instead of trying to find a natural way to lose weight. Surgery can be dangerous and life threatening. Doctors always explain that the risks associated with weight loss surgery can be serious because it is an abdominal and stomach surgery. You could have an allergic reaction to the anesthesia that they administer to you and if this happens you will face a life threatening situation. It is important to have healthy eating habits before and during your pregnancy. You want to try and maintain a healthy weight in order to help prevent pregnancy complications. 10 tips for holiday travel

By Ed Hewitt
updated 3:11 p.m. ET Nov. 20, 2008

With the global economy in crisis and both travelers and airlines feeling the pinch, it may not seem like 2008 will be the cheeriest of holiday travel seasons. Airlines have cut flights, raised fares and added a surge of surcharges for everything from checked bags to phone bookings. Meanwhile, many travelers are postponing or canceling their holiday plans to save money.

But for travelers still planning to visit Grandma’s for Thanksgiving or spend Christmas weekend in Paris, the news isn’t all bad. There are still deals to be found, provided you shop carefully and plan ahead. Check out our 10 tips for holiday travel and find some joy this holiday season.

Avoid peak travel dates
At Thanksgiving, Wednesday is the critical outbound “avoid” day as a rule. Traveling on Thanksgiving day proper is often a breeze and more affordable; there are often cut-rate airfare deals on Thanksgiving day.

On the return, Friday morning isn’t bad at all, with each successive day getting a little busier, more difficult and more expensive through Sunday evening. The bottom line: If you are looking for a deal, you won’t find one on the peak travel days. Travel off-peak whenever possible.

Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on Thursdays this year, which means that the same advice for Thanksgiving will apply to both of these holidays — fly on the holiday itself if possible, and avoid Sunday evening at the end of the long weekend.

Book early
Haven’t booked your holiday travel yet? It’s time to stop waiting and start booking. Fares are only rising as Thanksgiving approaches, so those who hold out in hopes of a late-breaking sale are likely to get left out in the cold or pay a very steep price for their procrastination. The same goes for the Christmas holiday; book sooner rather than later, particularly if you require very specific travel dates or times. With the current state of the airline industry, it is never too early to book your holiday travel flights.

While many of the best deals are probably already gone, keep an eye on our Holiday Deals section for any last-minute bargains. Be prepared to be flexible with dates and flight times.

Virginity and Dating

With all the failed relationships and marriages that have happened in the last 40 years we can all start to see a pattern that develops. It seems like sex does not have the precious meaning a relationship that it once had. Men and women both have become so accustomed to having sex within months into their relationships that sex has turned into an act almost entirely of lust. Saving your virginity for men and women has become an almost extinct cause as the dinosaurs. Now teenage men and women both have different reasons for entering into premarital sexual relationships. Men for example have been conditioned to think that being manly or being a stud means how many women you have slept with and how many women can talk into getting into bed with you. Women on the other hand usually think that sex is a gift that they withhold from a man until he has proven that he truly cares for her. Notice how there is a disconnect each week our men have about sex and how women feel about sex. I think that both genders are looking at it in the wrong ways. I think personally that is both men and women decide to save themselves for their wedding night their chances of finding love become greater. Why do you ask? I feel that marriage is not just about love but it’s about the balance of love that both men and women feel for each other. If men for example start dating women with no hidden intentions of having casual sex with them that he can truly get to know her as a person and start to develop deep feelings for her. This way, then we’ll start to look at sex as lovemaking instead of just an act of instinctive pleasure. Women on the other hand, seem to look at sex as a trophy or reward that they decide what man they bestow that reward to. The way that women can start to fix this preconceived notion that they have been conditioned to think is to start looking at sex as a special act that is given freely to the one that you truly love and will be with forever. Whenever I am interested in a woman, I would never ask her out on a date as I feel that dating is only a way that both men and women show themselves off to each other in the most favorable and the most unrealistic light. This then gets both men and women the unrealistic expectation that a relationship and the marriage will be this way every day for the rest of their lives. Sorry to break the news to them harshly but true, loving and caring relationships take hard work and commitment and they are more than just fun and games. Instead of asking her out on a date, I would ask her if she would like to hang out get to know each other as friends. Hanging out as friends takes away all the unrealistic expectations that dating brings with it and allows both men and women to get to know each other deeply and truthfully.

Start Your Home Design Using These Home Design Tools

You’ve decided you want to build a new home. Where do you start? First, we suggest you purchase your land, as this will surely impact the design of your home. Second, start putting your ideas together before visiting your architect. Start with a vision of your new home. Is there a certain architectural style you prefer? Colonial? Cape? Saltbox? Farmhouse? From there, start with the basics in home design. How many bedrooms will you need? Do you want a Master Bedroom with or without a Master Bathroom suite? Will it be located on the first or second floor? If this is a vacation home which will become your retirement home, you may prefer to have the main rooms located on the first floor for easy access in later years. Do you want a large, eat-in kitchen or a separate dining room? Are you planning to entertain small or large groups of people in your home? Is a cathedral Great Room on your list of priorities? Will you need a living room or media room separate from your Great Room? Do you have a specific hobby or interest that requires a separate room or area? Compare all of these areas with your current home. Does the space you have now fit your needs? Write down the measurements of your space and then mark whether or not the space is adequate. Wherever possible, look for areas to reduce the living space. For instance, if you have a large laundry room now and you only really use half of the space, mark it as a potential space saver. Anytime you reduce the square footage of your new home you will save money in initial material costs, but in energy costs over the life of the home as well. A home fulfills many purposes, but it can also satisfy numerous personal, aesthetic, and emotional requirements that can be difficult to describe in words. In starting to imagine your home design, it will help your architect if you identify and communicate how you want each space to feel. How? You may find it a challenge to explain how you want a room to feel. Start by doing some simple exercises. Pick up a home magazine or imagine a home you are familiar with. Find a room you like. What do you like about it? The way the afternoon sunlight casts shadows within the room? The room’s intimacy or its abundant space? Think about other spaces you enjoy - the park, the library, your friend’s home. How does the space make you feel? What creates that feeling? Be specific, and write down what you like about it. For instance, you might write, “I like how the room’s color tones change as the sun sets” or “I love how the outdoors is brought inside”. These small realizations will help the home design to evolve from a floor plan to a custom home that is an extension of your life philosophy.

Mark is a blogger the author of Teacher Trenches Notes from the so called trenches of education. an! d you know other stuff . Here s another snippet this one from his analysis of Dibs Not which is something kids say when they want to avoid just about anything. Some folks may dismiss Dibs Not as a rip off of Not It that great battle cry from Tag but in fact Dibs Not trumps Not It in several key areas. For one thing you ve got the versatility factor. While Not It only holds dominion over the playground Dibs Not reigns over the entire school. In the cafeteria for example students might yell Dibs not cleaning up the table Or the classroom teacher who asks for volunteers to write on the board might find herself serenaded by an entire chorus of Dibs Not Then there s the sheer longevity of Dibs Not. While a definite ceiling looms over Not It which effectively dies when kids stop playing Tag students play Dibs Not throughout elementary school well into middle school and beyond. Three foreign exchange students find many differences in American Ashtabula StarBeacon

Published November pm Lakeside High School has always been known for its cultural diversity. Three foreign exchange students find many differences in American culture Lakeside High School with RAECHAL TOWNER SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP Lakeside High School has always been known for its cultural diversity. This year Lakeside s diversity has broadened further by welcoming three foreign exchange students from three different countries. Gyu Lee also known as Sally Choi from South Korea is hosted by the Pamela and Peter Bean family. Hong Cao from Vietnam is hosted by the Ruth and Douglas Edwards family and Cathrine Mic Olsen from Denmark is hosted by the Jill Spellman family. All three students are visiting until after their senior graduation in the spring. By sharing their country s ideals each day they teach Lakeside students that there are alternate ways in which to live. Each girl was interviewed and asked many questions about the comparisons and differences of their home land and the ! United States. The questions included school rules and schedules socialization entertainment and foods. They also addressed such things as personal relationships among their peers and parents and talked a little bit about how they got to know each other. Sally Choi is a fairly quiet girl who is tall and wears glasses. It was apparent she was eager to answer any questions. She said there were many differences between American education and that of her home country. One noticeable difference is that the teachers move form one classroom to another rather than the students moving between class periods. Uniforms are mandatory at her school and the hours are considerably longer. She was required to attend school six days a week from a.m. to p.m. each day except for Saturday when the school days ends at p.m. Other differences include the choices of recreation. In South Korea going to amusement parks and going figure skating are very popular. Students ride buses or subways to and f! rom these activities. Since come to America hot dogs have quickly become her favorite food. But back home she prefers sushi over everything. Sally is very quick to point out that she has made many friends at Lakeside and plans to keep in touch via email with everyone. While she admits to being homesick her remedy is to email her parents daily and talk with her parents weekly. Hong Cao has a slightly different perspective. The school scheduling is a real adjustment to her because in Vietnam she attends classes on alternate days either during the morning or afternoon. This is similar to our college class schedules. Also her home school has few total square feet but has more students per class with some classes having to students. She also noted that her school has less extracurricular activities and no lunch period. For fun Hong and her friends enjoy going to movies or each other s houses but it is very uncommon to spend the night at a friend s home. The main mode of transportation in Vietnam is either motorcycle or bicycle. Cars are very limite! d. She said she is delighted that her house mom loves to cook and introduced her to pancakes which have become a favorite of hers. As far as dating Hong said when you date no study. When you study no date. Like Sally Hong said she dearly misses her family and daily communicates with them via emails. Cathrine graduated three years ago after completing the ninth grade. She started learning English in the fourth grade with Danish being the primary language. Cathrine said after high school there is no college only school after school. In her after school program she participated in many sports. Gymnastics and dance were her favorites and she would like to become a teacher in one of those disciplines. She too has acquired a new love for one of America s favorite snacks namely Oreo cookies. She also misses everybody from school and home and talks with them frequently on the phone. What you should know about Phentermine 37 5mg

With nearly two-thirds of Americans being overweight, many are looking for ways to lose weight and keep it off. This is where Phentirmine 37.5 mg can help. Phentermine 37.5 mg is an appetite suppressant that is prescribed for use by overweight patients. Now there are many things that can assist in getting you to a healthy weight, but it is essential that you make necessary diet, exercise and behavior medications in order for your weight loss efforts to be successful and permanent.

Phentenermine is no different. It is a weight loss tool and not a miracle. Phentermine works by stimulating the hypothalamus gland and affecting certain neurotransmitters to decrease appetite. This supplement affects the nervous system and will speed up your metabolism. It may cause nervousness and sleeplessness the first few days, but these symptoms should subside within a short number of days. For this reason phentermin is meant to be taken in the morning.

Phentarmine can get you started down the right path, but there are some other things that I feel are essential to weight loss. Smart food choices and exercise go with saying. If these are things you have struggled with all your life, try setting 3 small goals. They can be as simple as exercising one hour per week, decreasing the number of sodas you drink or the number of times you eat out each week.

Accomplishing these small goals will give you a feeling of power and control. This will give you the self esteem to achieve bigger goals. I find journaling and forums to give me motivation. Journaling helps you deal with your emotions and forums will provide you with experience, strength and hope from others that have gone through what you are going through. There is a lot to be gained by what other people have already experienced.

The other name for fleet tracking systems is GPS (Global Positioning Systems). Fleet GPS tracking units have seen many changes since they were introduced and are now being used by the general public, as well as the military, public service officials and large delivery companies, such as UPS. When you have a fleet of vehicles, efficiency is very important. Whenever a vehicle goes out on the road, it is very expensive.
